" It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent. "In 1992 president- Bill Clinton choose Albright to handle the United States' relationship with the United Nations. She officially assumed the role of U.S. representative to the United Nations in January 1993.
In December 1996, Clinton once again looked to Albright for her expertise in foreign policy, nominating her for secretary of state. Madeleine Albright was the 64th secretary of state but she was the first female to hold that important position.

ReplyDeleteI found it interesting that she was first female secretary of the state
ReplyDeleteShe was very inspiring, and the video was intersecting!
ReplyDeleteHow much Clinton relied on her is inspiring that he was okay with having a female as his secretary of state.
ReplyDeleteI learned that she was the 64th secretary of state but she was the first woman to have that job.
ReplyDeleteShe was personally called by the president asking to be his person secretary. She agreed and thus became the first ever female secretary of state. This made women later have bigger roles in government, leading one step to closer to equality.
